My client is seeking a Senior Regulatory Accountant to join their growing team. As a Senior Accountant focusing on legal entities, you'll play a key part in the growth and success of your team. This opportunity will sit out of Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Completing month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and posting, ledger maintenance, and trial balance review.
- Performing fluctuation analyses for balance sheets and income statements of assigned legal entities.
- Reviewing account reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts and assisting in resolving open items.
- Preparing internal and external financial statements, such as SEC/FCA/OSC reports.
- Supporting external auditors during year-end audits.
- Participating in company-wide projects and process improvements.
- Identifying and addressing control gaps to mitigate risks effectively.
- Maintaining effective communication with various departments for smooth month-end close processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience in financial reporting and accounting, preferably in the financial services industry or a Public accounting firm (4-7 years).
