The Litigation Associate will be responsible for...
- Represent clients in various stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, and trials.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Assist in case strategy development and analysis of legal issues.
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Manage case files, documents, and deadlines in accordance with firm procedures.
- Stay current on legal developments, case law, and procedural rules relevant to general litigation practice.
- Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex litigation matters.
- Provide support to senior attorneys and partners on a wide range of litigation matters.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all aspects of work.
The Litigation Associate should have the following qualifications...
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Texas state bar and in good standing.
- 2-6 years of experience in general litigation practice.
- Prior experience in Big Law is strongly preferred.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
