Job Description: Legal Business Partner
Location: Shenzhen, China
Our client is a Multinational Retail Company in Shenzhen, now we are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Legal Business Partner in Shenzhen. As a Legal Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business operations by providing legal guidance and expertise across a wide range of areas.
Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Transactions: Manage and oversee all legal aspects of commercial transactions with suppliers and sellers, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company's interests.
2. Supplier and Seller Management: Assist in recruiting and terminating suppliers and sellers, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Conduct due diligence on potential suppliers and sellers to assess their suitability and mitigate risks.
3. Labor Matters: Advise on labor-related legal matters, including employment contracts, employee benefits, and workplace policies. Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
4. Dispute Resolution: Provide legal support in resolving disputes with suppliers, sellers, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams and external legal counsel to develop effective strategies for dispute resolution and litigation, when necessary.
5. Mini Program Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation and maintenance of mini programs on websites, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Review and advise on legal implications of mini program features and functionalities.
6. Cross Border Transactions: Assist in legal matters related to cross border transactions, including import/export regulations, customs compliance, and international trade agreements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth cross-border operations.
7. Data Protection and Transfer: Provide legal guidance on data protection and privacy matters, including compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures, and ensure secure transfer of data in cross-border transactions.
Requirements:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar legal role, preferably in a multinational corporation or law firm.
3. Strong knowledge of commercial transactions, labor laws, dispute resolution, data protection, and cross-border transactions.
4. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
7. Proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
8. Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
