A well-established bank is looking to add an experienced Compliance Monitoring Manager to their compliance team. This individual will oversee the Consumer Compliance Monitoring program and report to the Chief Compliance Officer. Responsibilities include enhancing and administering the Compliance Monitoring Program, conducting annual risk assessments, managing monitoring reviews, and ensuring timely completion of remediation plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the banks compliance with federal consumer laws and regulations, ensuring adherence to both their spirit and letter.
- Review, update, and manage the Compliance Monitoring Program, including conducting the Compliance Monitoring Risk Assessment to determine the annual review plan.
- Lead and develop a team of skilled compliance monitoring consultants.
- Collaborate with consultants to execute testing and reporting according to the annual review plan, assessing the banks compliance with federal consumer laws.
- Organize and conduct compliance reviews, producing detailed reports for management.
- Track and address outstanding issues identified during monitoring to ensure timely corrective action.
- Stay informed about industry standards, trends, and changes in relevant compliance areas. Offer leadership and specialized expertise to business teams to promote a culture of compliance and partnership.
- Provide compliance guidance and direction to all departments for continued adherence to best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 13 years of experience in bank consumer compliance
- Management experience required
- Regulatory examiner, internal audit, or compliance officer experience is preferred
- CRCM certification is a plus but not required
- Strong understanding of bank compliance and financial industry policies
- Bachelors degree required
