Company Overview
A top tier European asset management firm providing expertise in savings, investments, insurance and asset management is currently seeking a well-organized and proactive individual with strong communication in Japanese and English. This individual will assist the Head of Compliance in Japan as a Compliance Manager to provide support in real estate and investment compliance.
Job Requirements
- Handle regular compliance monitoring and training to ensure policies and procedures are up to date
- Provide support for AML officers and internal/ external audit teams
- Handle regulatory filings to relevant Japanese regulators and stakeholders
- Provide compliance advice to local distribution team, real estate team and asset management team
- Assist in implementation of the company's compliance initiatives and projects
- Assist in arranging board and shareholder meetings and provide support in ad-hoc matters requested by the Head of Compliance
Qualifications
- Around 5-7 years of relevant real estate & investment compliance experience is strongly preferred
- Experience from buy-side financial services will be considered
- Professional knowledge of Japanese legal and regulatory framework in Fraud, Sanctions, AML, CTF and tax evasion
- Compliance certifications (ex. CAMS, etc.) is highly advantageous
- Proficiency in Japanese and English
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualifications
