A leading Minneapolis based Trust Company is seeking a Trust Officer to join their growing team in Sioux Falls, SD. In this seat you will be reporting into senior leadership and handling a variety of work as it relates to trust administration, documentation, annual account reviews and working directly with clients to answer questions and resolve any potential issues. Additionally, the role is hybrid in the office three days per week. As well as the flexibility, they offer benefits from day one and free lunch on Wednesdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing trust documents for new business acceptance
- Completing annual account reviews
- Assisting with settlement and account cash flow activities
- Addressing client inquiries and resolving issues
- Participating in opening and closing accounts
- Serving on the Trust Committee
- Administering ILITs in accordance with the Trust Company's Policies and Procedures
- Assisting with internal and external audit functions
- Collaborating closely with our affiliate company to handle administration and remediation needs for policies held in trust
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
- 1-3 + years of experience in trust, banking, life insurance, or financial services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and think critically
Preferred Consideration Given for:
Prior experience in trust administration or life insurance is particularly relevant. If you have credentials such as CTFA, JD, or an MBA, your application will stand out even more.
