A Global Energy Company producing oil, biofuels, renewables, green and natural gases, and electricity is looking for a Sr. Market Compliance Analyst to join their trading branch. This position operates under the supervision of the Market Compliance Director and performs in a fast-moving trading environment.
Responsibilities:
- Keep track of daily transactions across the company to ensure compliance with any applicable rules and regulations set by relevant regulatory authorities.
- Analyze and report any pertinent market changes.
- Examine business communications and review any issues with traders/trading desks.
- Make supportive recommendations concerning compliance with CFTC/FERC as well as ISOs/RTOs regulations.
- Maintain the company's market rules and knowledge base.
- Aid the Compliance Director with implementing the Market Compliance Framework, meaning:
- Evaluating compliance risks across the company
- Developing Market Compliance policy and procedures and accessing controls
- Administrating necessary compliance training materials.
- Respond to any ad-hoc inquiries from management.
- Assist with regulatory inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of energy trading, operations, practices, and risk management activities.
- Detailed understanding of laws, rules, and regulations relevent to energy trading.
- Experience with CFTC's and FERC's Division and Office of Enforcement.
- Proficiency with industry tools such as CubeWatch, SMARTS, Whistler, Fairwords, MS Power Query, and Alteryx.
- Minimum 3 years of experience, salary increases depending on YOE
