We have partnered with a well-funded SaaS company that is looking to add a Senior Commercial Counsel to the team. This individual will be reporting directly to the General Counsel and will be in charge of handling all outbound SaaS contracts. This is an exciting opportunity to receive direct mentorship from the General Counsel as well as play a lead role in key business and legal decision for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including software licenses, SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
- Provide legal advice and support to various business units, including sales, marketing, and product teams.
- Assist in managing legal risks related to commercial transactions and business operations.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations impacting the software industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Handle any legal disputes or claims related to commercial matters.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in New York.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial attorney, preferably in the technology or software industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Big Law background is a plus.
