Our client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Real Estate Attorney to join their legal team in Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both renewable energy and real estate law.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal counsel and support for real estate transactions related to renewable energy projects, including site acquisitions, leasing, permitting, and land use agreements.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of real estate documents, including purchase agreements, easements, leases, and development agreements.
Conduct due diligence on potential project sites, including title review, zoning analysis, and environmental assessments.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project development teams, engineers, and external partners, to ensure compliance with legal requirements and mitigate risks.
Advise on regulatory matters related to real estate and renewable energy development, including federal, state, and local regulations.
Assist in the resolution of real estate disputes and litigation, as necessary.
Stay informed about industry trends, legal developments, and renewable energy and real estate law best practices.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the State Bar of Colorado (or ability to become admitted).
Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on renewable energy and real estate.
Strong understanding of real estate transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, and land use regulations.
Experience working on renewable energy projects, such as solar, wind, or energy storage, preferred.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
