Position Overview:
Our client is a Roof Contractor in Omaha. This would be the first in-house legal hire for this growing company.
We are in search of a skilled and driven Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be tasked with managing breach of contract claims and offering legal counsel and assistance throughout the litigation process.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and collect evidence for legal proceedings
- Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Defend the company against claims
- Represent the company in court hearings, trials, and mediations
- Engage in negotiations to reach settlements
- Collaborate with fellow attorneys and legal professionals to devise case strategies
- Offer legal advice and guidance to clients
- Effectively manage multiple cases concurrently
- Maintain accurate and updated case records and documentation
- Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting client cases
Skills Required:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Proficiency in legal drafting and document preparation
- Effective negotiation skills
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Previous experience in litigation is essential
