An opportunity for an Attorney with 3-5 years of investment management private practice experience to join as the third member of the legal team. You will report directly into and work alongside the Chief Legal Officer and will have the opportunity to gain knowledge of and provide coverage across all areas of the legal department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide structure and advice on all aspects of fund structures and management company operations
- Prepare PPMs, SMAs, and side letters for investors
- Manage relationships with trading counterparties and negotiate agreements
- Provide legal support to other departments at the firm, including IR and Trading
- Contract negotiations with third parties
- Assist the firm's senior management with legal advice and analysis
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited, top tier law school
- 3-5 years of experience in the investment management or private funds space at a top law firm
- Experience drafting operating agreements, board resolutions and other corporate documents
- Proactive, entrepreneurial, and solutions oriented
