The Lead Real Estate Transactions Counsel will be responsible for:
- Advise on general corporate, business development, operations, and transactional matters.
- Draft and negotiate corporate contracts and loan financing agreements.
- Work alongside outside counsel on on fund raising with private investors.
- Negotiate large transactions including land acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Review, draft, and negotiate asset purchase agreements, restrictive covenants, and title companies.
- Collaborate with Legal team members and cross-functional business units on any legal or compliance matters that may arise, as well as on organizational growth efforts.
The Lead Real Estate Transactions Counsel should have the following:
- 4+ years of real estate transactional transactional experience, e.g. land acquisitions, loan financings, restrictive covenance, title companies. etc.; Experience with M&A (e.g. asset purchase agreements) and fund management (e.g. Private Equity fund documents) is a plus.
- JD from an accredited law school, and an active member in good standing of the Missouri State Bar.
- Highly organized, solutions-oriented, proactive, strong follow-through skills.
- Excellent collaboration and team work skills.
- Desire to contribute to the growth of an organization.
