We are recently partnered with a very exciting client in the Beverage Manufacturing space! They are looking for a seasoned Labor and Employment Counsel to join their dynamic and growing legal team. In this role, the Director & AGC will be supporting the DGC, GC and other C-suite members on all employment related legal matters.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with HR to provide counsel on all employment matters and related litigation
- Experience in discrimination, wage and hour, wrongful termination, employee privacy, non-competes, immigration, benefits and other labor and employment laws required
- Draft and review employment agreements and policies,. compensation plans, etc.
- Handle day-to-day oversight of all employment litigation matters
- Respond to subpoenas, complaints and administrative agency investigations
- Provide legal advice in other areas when needed
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience in employment law in a mid/large size law firm and in-house legal experience
- In good standing with California Bar
- Experience in consumer goods required, wine industry experience preferred
