One of the worlds largest asset management firms is looking for a Deputy General Counsel to join and lead their Chicago team! A stellar candidate will have a background in public securities, wealth management, and funds work.
Responsibilities:
- Subject matter expert of onshore and offshore registered and private funds, Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Investment Company Act of 1940, fund formation, fund transactions and an understanding of products in which funds invest
- Manage entity maintenance and corporate governance for the firm and its affiliated entities
- Oversee legal matters, under the direction of the General Counsel, including advising on corporate transactional matters, fund-level compliance and risk management
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience
- JD and admitted to state bar
- Big Law background preferred
