We're working with a well-established, mission-driven healthcare system in California that delivers a wide range of clinical services through its hospitals, medical groups, and outpatient facilities. They're seeking a Corporate Counsel with strong experience in provider contracting and healthcare transactions to join their team in the Bay area.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and oversee agreements with physicians and clinical partners, including compensation structures and service terms
  • Support transactions involving provider groups, joint ventures, and related business arrangements
  • Ensure legal compliance with healthcare laws and internal policies tied to provider relationships
  • Provide legal guidance on operational issues related to medical staffing, credentialing, and organizational structure
  • Help streamline contract processes and documentation, including internal approvals and compliance tracking

Qualifications

  • JD and active member of CA Bar
  • 6+ years of legal experience within a healthcare setting
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with substantial exposure to provider arrangements
  • Familiarity with key healthcare regulations including Stark, Anti-Kickback, HIPAA, and the False Claims Act
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage complex legal workflows
