A growing line clearance management and disaster recovery services company is looking to expand their legal team with a Corporate Counsel in Contracts. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate law, with a strong focus on contract negotiation and management, specifically in customer, vendor, service, NDA, and consulting agreements. This role will be pivotal in supporting the teams growth and commercial transactions.
The Corporate Counsel will:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including customer agreements, vendor contracts, service agreements, NDAs, and consulting contracts.
- Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on contractual matters and risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain legal templates and standard operating procedures for contract management.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legislation and industry trends.
- Assist in dispute resolution and manage outside counsel when necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on legal best practices and contract management.
- Support the company's strategic initiatives and projects from a legal perspective.
The Corporate Counsel must have:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on contract law.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
