We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Senior Transportation Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic team that represents some of the world's leading companies in the transportation and logistics industry. About the Role

As part of this nationally recognized transportation litigation team, you will manage a diverse caseload involving trucking, logistics, and regulatory compliance matters. You will work closely with experienced attorneys across multiple offices, providing strategic counsel to global clients and contributing to the resolution of cutting-edge legal challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage litigation cases from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to transportation laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements, demonstrating strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues nationwide to ensure seamless case management and client service.
  • Prepare detailed case analysis reports for client stakeholders, focusing on proactive resolution strategies.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active admission to practice in New York.
  • Minimum of 8 years of general casualty litigation experience.
  • First and/or second chair trial experience strongly preferred; trial experience required.
  • Background in transportation, logistics, trucking, and related regulatory matters preferred.
  • Familiarity with emerging e-commerce and gig economy legal issues is a plus.
  • Strong deposition and motion practice experience required.
  • Exceptional analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000 USD, plus discretionary bonuses.
