Remote Commercial Litigation Attorney
A national AmLaw 200 firm is seeking a Senior Counsel with 8+ years of experience practicing law in California to support Commercial Litigation matters in the Central District of California (CDCA). This position is fully remote, with travel limited to business‑required court appearances, hearings, strategy meetings, and other litigation‑driven obligations. The ideal candidate will bring deep familiarity with CDCA practice, strong federal litigation skills, and the ability to operate with a high level of independence while collaborating effectively with teams across multiple offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as CDCA counsel for litigation matters across the firm, including acting as local counsel and lead counsel when appropriate.
- Manage a wide range of federal litigation in the CDCA, including case strategy, briefing, and procedural oversight.
- Draft, argue, and oversee motions, discovery, and all phases of litigation from initiation to resolution.
- Collaborate with litigation teams nationwide on federal matters requiring CDCA expertise and provide strategic guidance on local rules and judicial expectations.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of California litigation experience, with a strong background in federal litigation and courtroom advocacy.
- Extensive familiarity with CDCA local rules, standing orders, judges' procedures, and courtroom practices.
- Experience independently managing federal litigation from initial filings through resolution, including hearings, conferences, and trial‑related work.
- California Bar in good standing.
Additional Details:
- Base salary range: $210,000 - $230,000, depending on experience and skill set.
- Reasonable 1,600‑hour billable requirement.
