About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Vice President, Technology & Commercial Counsel to join our expanding legal team. This role supports a wide range of commercial, digital, and innovation‑driven initiatives, offering meaningful involvement in complex transactions and emerging technology matters. Candidates will work closely with cross‑functional partners and help shape legal frameworks across the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid‑level attorney looking to broaden their experience in technology, commercial contracting, and regulatory strategy within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical guidance on technology, commercial, and regulatory matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements involving:
- Software, SaaS, and technology services
- Data licensing and digital services
- Sponsorships and marketing arrangements
- Real estate and commercial operations
- Support compliance, governance, and risk‑management initiatives
- Conduct legal research on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with product, technology, procurement, operations, and business teams
- Communicate complex legal issues in a clear, accessible manner
- Contribute to internal policy development and process enhancements
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction (NY helpful but not required)
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to provide practical, business‑aligned legal advice
- Interest in technology, digital services, and evolving regulatory frameworks
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical teams
