About the Role
A leading global investment management firm is seeking a Funds Paralegal to join its in‑house legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and business partners on a broad range of matters related to registered funds, private funds, and regulatory filings. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, review, and maintenance of documentation for registered investment companies and private funds.
- Support periodic regulatory filings, including Form N‑1A, N‑2, N‑CSR, N‑PORT, N‑CEN, ADV updates, and related materials.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and service providers (administrators, auditors, trustees, advisors).
- Maintain corporate records, board materials, resolutions, and other governance documents.
- Support fund launches, reorganizations, and ongoing product‑management tasks.
- Conduct legal research and assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant paralegal experience within asset management, funds practice groups at law firms, or financial services companies.
- Strong understanding of the Investment Company Act, securities filings, and fund governance (preferred but not required).
- Excellent writing, organizational, and project‑management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with document management systems is a plus.
- JD not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: Approximately $130,000, commensurate with experience.
