About the Role

The firm is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Associate to join our Construction Law and Litigation practice based in Ft. Lauderdale. This role will primarily focus on litigation involving large, multi-party construction defect cases. We are searching for a candidate who demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and shares our unwavering commitment to client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will exhibit a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of the complexities of construction litigation.

Key Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top 25 law school is required.
  • Strong academic credentials, combined with superior research and writing skills.
  • Previous experience in construction litigation is highly preferred.
  • Membership in the Florida Bar is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Commitment to delivering prompt, responsive, and knowledgeable client service.

Responsibilities

The role entails a variety of challenging and rewarding responsibilities, including:

  • Preparation and drafting of pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and memoranda of law to support litigation strategies.
  • Active participation in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparations, as well as attendance at these proceedings to advocate effectively for clients.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships through regular and clear communication to ensure client goals are understood and met.
  • Conducting thorough legal research and preparing detailed memoranda analyzing legal and factual issues relevant to cases.
  • Performing document review to identify critical information that supports case strategy and strengthens client positions in litigation.
  • 1600 billable hour requirements
