The firm is currently expanding its workers' compensation defense practice and looking for a skilled attorney to join the team. Position Summary:
The firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to handle a steady and growing caseload. The ideal candidate will have strong billing habits, be driven, and open to contributing to a growing practice. While a portable book of business is strongly preferred, it is not required for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle workers' compensation defense matters from inception to resolution
Meet the 1800-hour annual billing requirement
Collaborate with partners and team members in a supportive, team-first environment
Participate in business development
Optionally assist with employment law matters, including PAGA claims (if skilled in that area)
Qualifications:
Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar
Proven experience in workers' compensation defense
Strong billing track record
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or remotely
Book of business is a plus, but not required
Team-oriented mindset with a desire for long-term growth
Work Environment:
Remote or hybrid flexibility - office presence is not mandatory
Office space available for those who prefer in-person collaboration
Modern systems in place to reduce administrative burden and increase efficiency
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary ranging from $180,000 to $300,000+ (dependent on experience and book)
Discretionary bonuses and potential revenue share for partners
