About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our litigation practice in Fort Lauderdale. This position is well-suited for an attorney interested in handling a broad range of general litigation and employment-related matters, with the opportunity to represent clients across multiple industries. The role offers hands-on litigation experience, regular client contact, and significant responsibility in a fast-paced practice.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a wide range of general litigation matters, including employment disputes and related business issues, from pre‑suit through resolution.
  • Assist with all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings before agencies such as the EEOC and the Florida Commission on Human Relations.
  • Draft and respond to demand letters, third‑party subpoenas, and pre‑litigation correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research, factual investigations, and case analysis to support litigation strategy.
  • Draft and review employment-related and commercial documents, policies, contracts, and agreements for clients in various industries, including education.
  • Provide legal advice and counseling to employers on workplace and compliance-related issues.

Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of litigation experience, preferably involving employment, business, or general civil litigation.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing (required).
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills, with experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Solid academic credentials.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable, with a strong work ethic and professional judgment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality client service and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
