Healthcare Transactions Counsel - Leading REIT
A leading Real Estate Investment Trust is seeking a Healthcare Transactions Counsel to join their legal team. This Counsel should have strong knowledge of health care regulatory compliance and experience supporting M&A transactions and related licensure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on legal and regulatory issues in healthcare-related corporate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, operator transitions, and facility closures.
- Prepare and submit licensure, CHOW, and other required filings with Federal and State agencies; collaborate on negotiating regulatory terms to ensure compliance and reduce legal risk.
- Develop and manage systems for collecting, organizing, and tracking healthcare regulatory data across business segments, partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Required Skills:
- JD degree and 4+ years of regulatory and transactional experience within the healthcare space either at a law firm or in-house; senior living experience preferred.
- Deep understanding of Federal and State healthcare laws, licensing requirements, and Medicare/Medicaid program standards.
- The ability to communicate complex topics to senior business and legal team members.
