Corporate Counsel - Position Summary

The Corporate Counsel will work closely with the organization's senior legal leader and provide wide‑ranging legal support across a diverse, multi-location business. The Corporate Counsel will offer practical, business‑aligned guidance to leadership and functional partners while supporting the needs of a fast-paced, evolving company.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including those with clients, vendors, suppliers, and service providers
  • Support licensing and regulatory compliance activities across multiple regions, including coordination with external partners and government agencies
  • Assist in managing disputes, claims, and litigation matters, including oversight of outside counsel, strategy development, budgeting, and resolution efforts
  • Support corporate governance functions by preparing, organizing, and maintaining corporate documents and internal records
  • Build strong working relationships with legal colleagues, senior management, and cross-functional teams to provide clear and reliable legal guidance
  • Track legal and regulatory changes that could affect the organization and identify potential risks or opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with the senior legal leader on compliance, regulatory, and broader legal initiatives

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Active member in good standing of a U.S. state bar
  • At least 3 years of legal experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department, with a background in commercial or operational support (in-house experience preferred)
  • Experience advising on employment law matters across multiple jurisdictions, including employee relations, wage and hour issues, workplace policies, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws
