Insurance Coverage Attorney (Litigation)
A highly regarded international law firm is seeking a fully remote Litigation Associate to support its growing practice across Montana, Idaho, and Utah. This opportunity offers exposure to a diverse and sophisticated litigation portfolio, including insurance coverage and bad faith disputes, catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters, UIM defense, premises liability, trucking and transportation claims, employment-related litigation, and property disputes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys managing cases from inception through resolution, values client interaction, and is looking to join a collaborative team while maintaining the flexibility of a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take and defend depositions, attend court hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research platforms.
- Prepare and respond to written discovery requests.
- Review, analyze, and manage documents for production and case development.
- Investigate claims and develop strategic approaches for case handling and resolution.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide timely reporting and case updates to insurance carrier clients and insureds.
- Assist in trial preparation and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
Qualifications
- Resides and has an active bar admission in either Montana, Idaho, or Utah.
- Prior experience in civil litigation, preferably within insurance defense, coverage, or liability-related matters.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload and prioritize competing deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach to legal practice.
