Assistant General Counsel - Travel & Hospitality

They are seeking a Director‑level Assistant General Counsel with strong experience in:
- Mergers & acquisitions, financing transactions, and corporate deal work
- Commercial contracting, including drafting, negotiating, and managing a broad range of agreements
- Corporate transactional support across multiple business units
- Ability to partner directly with the Chief Legal Officer and senior executives
- A self‑starter who thrives in a high‑visibility legal team
Responsibilities
- Support a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions, including M&A, financing matters, acquisitions, and strategic deals.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, MSAs, consulting agreements, operational contracts, and marketing/partner agreements.
- Provide legal support across various departments, including operations, HR, finance, sustainability, engineering, and marketing.
- Assist with corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and general corporate matters.
- Work directly with the Chief Legal Officer, offering updates, insights, and strategic guidance on key initiatives.
- Manage outside counsel as needed, while handling the majority of work internally.
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities within a dynamic and evolving legal environment.
Qualifications
- JD and active bar membership in good standing.
- 6+ years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. Ideally in an adjacent industry.
- Strong experience in M&A, financing transactions, and commercial transactional work.
- Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate a wide variety of contracts.
- Solid experience as a corporate generalist, supporting cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication, judgment, and relationship‑building skills.
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple matters independently.
- Ability to travel periodically including internally.
Location & Work Environment
This position is fully onsite, five days per week, at the company's corporate headquarters in Colorado. The legal team operates with an open‑door, collaborative culture and partners closely with senior leadership across the business.
