The Tax practice of a leading AmLaw Top 25 global firm is seeking a highly capable and motivated Transactional Tax Associate to join its growing national team. Key Responsibilities
- Advise on a broad range of transactional tax matters in close collaboration with the firm's top-ranked corporate practice.
- Support structuring and execution of:
- Mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate transactions
- Joint ventures, partnerships, and LLC formations
- Private equity transactions and private equity fund formation
- Real estate transactions, real estate fund formation, and REIT matters
- Regulated investment company structures
- Capital markets and financing transactions
- Conduct tax analysis to support deal teams and clients on transaction structuring, tax implications, and strategic planning.
- Draft and review tax-related agreements, memoranda, and client communications.
- Work directly with partners and senior attorneys in a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school (Class of 2022 or 2023).
- 3-4 years of experience in general transactional tax work.
- Must be admitted to the bar in New York, Massachusetts, California, or Washington, D.C.
- Strong academic credentials and demonstrated interest in corporate tax work.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative, collaborate across practice groups, and work effectively in a fast-paced, sophisticated transactional environment.
Experience Required: J.D. Class 2022-2023
Compensation: $260,000 - $310,000
Bar Admission: Must be admitted in NY, MA, CA, or DC
