Transportation Litigation Attorney
Overview:
- Seeking a proactive, highly skilled litigation attorney to support representation of a large, sophisticated transportation/logistics client
- Opportunity to litigate complex and emerging issues within the transportation sector alongside experienced attorneys nationwide
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a litigation caseload under the supervision of senior attorneys, overseeing matters from inception through resolution
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to transportation laws, regulations, and applicable legal standards
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other substantive legal documents
- Appear at court hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Negotiate settlements and agreements, demonstrating strong advocacy and negotiation skills
- Collaborate with colleagues across practices and offices to support a team-oriented litigation approach
- Prepare case analyses and status reports for client stakeholders, with a focus on proactive resolution strategies
Qualifications:
- Admission to practice in Pennsylvania
- 3-5+ years of general casualty litigation experience
- Deposition and motion practice experience required
- Transportation, logistics, trucking, or related regulatory experience preferred
- Experience with emerging e‑commerce or gig economy legal issues preferred, but not required
- Trial experience preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and legal reasoning skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Sophisticated technical and practice-management skills
