Our client, a top-tier national law firm, is seeking a Healthcare Corporate Associate to join its nationally recognized healthcare practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions involving healthcare companies, investors, and sponsors.
Position Overview
This role will focus on supporting healthcare-related mergers and acquisitions and other business transactions, with an emphasis on private equity, joint ventures, and broader corporate matters. The position offers significant client interaction and exposure to complex deal work within the healthcare and life sciences industries.
Key Responsibilities
* Support mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic business transactions involving healthcare companies and organizations
* Advise clients on corporate structuring, governance, and transactional matters in the healthcare and life sciences space
* Assist with private equity transactions, including acquisitions, investments, and portfolio company support
* Conduct due diligence and support deal execution, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents
* Collaborate with healthcare regulatory teams to address compliance considerations in transactional matters
* Work closely with clients, internal teams, and counterparties throughout all stages of transactions
Qualifications
* 3-6+ years of experience in corporate law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and business transactions
* Experience working on private equity transactions, joint ventures, and/or general M&A matters
* Interest in focusing practice on healthcare companies and organizations
* Strong understanding of general corporate law and transactional principles
* Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple matters and work directly with clients
* Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with healthcare and/or life sciences transactions
* Exposure to healthcare regulatory considerations in deal contexts
* Prior experience at a top law firm or well-regarded corporate practice
