An Am Law 100 firm with a robust national litigation platform is seeking a General Liability Associate or Of Counsel to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated, high-exposure matters for a diverse client base across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of general liability matters from inception through resolution
- Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex litigation strategy
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide timely reporting and analysis
Practice Areas May Include:
- Premises liability
- Construction defect
- Product liability
- Transportation / auto liability
- Catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission in the state of the office of hire
- 2-8+ years of general liability or insurance defense experience
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Deposition and motion practice experience preferred
- Trial experience is a plus
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary ranging from $150,000-$225,000+ depending on experience
- Performance-based bonus opportunities
