Commercial Lending & Finance Associate Attorney
We are partnered with a highly regarded law firm to support the growth of its Commercial Lending & Finance practice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team advising financial institutions, private lenders, and corporate borrowers on a wide range of sophisticated financing transactions.
Commercial Lending Attorney Responsibilities:
- Represent lenders and borrowers in a variety of commercial finance transactions, including secured and unsecured lending arrangements
- Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, credit facilities, security documents, and related financing materials
- Assist with structuring transactions, including acquisition financing, asset-based lending, and revolving credit facilities
- Conduct due diligence reviews and support closings by coordinating documentation and managing transaction timelines
- Advise clients on collateral, perfection, and priority issues under the UCC
- Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to identify risks and ensure smooth execution of transactions
Commercial Lending Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice (or ability to waive in)
- 2+ years of experience in commercial lending, finance, or general transactional work at a law firm
- Experience drafting and negotiating loan documents and related agreements preferred
- Familiarity with secured transactions and UCC concepts is a plus
- Strong analytical, drafting, and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients
