Litigation / Labor & Employment Associate - California (Hybrid)
An AmLaw 200 law firm with an actively growing California presence is seeking Litigation and Labor & Employment Associates (2+ years) to join its Southern and Northern California offices (Los Anegles. San Diego, or San Francisico). The team is expanding quickly and is open to junior through mid‑level attorneys who are looking for hands‑on experience and a platform to grow.
This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with experience in general litigation, employment law, or related practice areas who want to take on meaningful responsibility early and build within a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a broad range of litigation matters, which may include:
- Employment litigation (single‑plaintiff, wage & hour, PAGA)
- General commercial litigation
- Insurance defense, personal injury, or transportation matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Participate in hearings and trial preparation
- Manage casework independently with support from senior attorneys
- Provide employment counseling, policy drafting, and training in L&E roles
Key Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership (or eligibility)
- 2+ years of litigation experience (employment law preferred but not required)
- Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Experience with motion practice, depositions, or discovery preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: Approximately $160,000 to $190,000+ depending on experience
- Bonus eligibility
