Senior Operations Manager - International Hedge Fund in Hong Kong
CLIENT BACKGROUND
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our growing team. This is a critical hire who will work closely with the CIO and COO to ensure seamless operational support across trading, portfolio management, and client servicing functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hedge fund operations, particularly in SMA structures, and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the firm's SMA and fund structures.
- Act as the key liaison between portfolio managers, traders, and external service providers (e.g., prime brokers, fund administrators, custodians).
- Manage trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Maintain and optimize the Enfusion system for portfolio and order management.
- Monitor and manage cash, margin, and collateral across accounts.
- Handle treasury functions including cash forecasting and liquidity management.
- Oversee fund accounting processes and NAV oversight in coordination with administrators.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of positions, P&L, and cash balances.
- Support regulatory reporting and internal control processes.
- Contribute to operational infrastructure build-out and process automation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 7 years of experience in hedge fund operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Enfusion is essential.
- Proven experience managing Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs).
- Familiarity with equity capital markets is a plus.
- Strong understanding of trade operations, treasury, reconciliation, and fund accounting.
- Experience working with prime brokers, custodians, and fund administrators.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with investment and trading teams.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently in a lean team environment.
