About Our Client
Our Client is a fast-growing water and wastewater utility start-up on a mission to modernize infrastructure and service delivery across the DFW area. Their team is passionate about sustainability, innovation, and building strong partnerships with developers, municipalities, and construction firms. As they scale, they are looking for a seasoned Contract Manager to help build and manage a best-in-class contract management system from the ground up.
The Role
As the Contract Manager, you'll be the cornerstone of their legal and operational framework-responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing their contract management system. You'll work closely with real estate developers, city and district officials, and construction partners to ensure agreements are clear, compliant, and aligned with their strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a scalable contract management system tailored to utility operations.
- Manage contracts with developers, municipalities, and construction companies.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align contract terms with project timelines and budgets.
- Maintain organized records and provide reporting on contract status and performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries and disputes.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in contract management within real estate, construction, or utilities.
- Proven experience building or overhauling a contract management system.
- Strong understanding of municipal and developer agreements.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to water/wastewater utilities is a plus.
