Senior Regulatory Analyst
We are currently partnered with an utility company that is looking to bring on a Senior Regulatory Analyst. This energy provider is committed to delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable power that supports communities and drives innovation. With a strong emphasis on integrity, safety, and customer trust, the organization is seeking a regulatory professional to help shape its strategic direction in a dynamic energy landscape. The Senior Regulatory Analyst will be responsible for helping with regulatory filings, rate proceedings, and strategic initiatives. This individual will play a key role in developing regulatory strategies, preparing formal testimony, and being a part of a team of analysts. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in utility regulation and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 1-3 years of experience in utility regulation or related areas.
- Strong foundation in utility accounting, financial analysis, rate design, and cost of service preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Epicor, FRx, Business Objects, and related tools is a plus.
- Demonstrates initiative, leadership qualities, and the ability to work independently and creatively in complex situations.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the preparation of regulatory filings, rate cases, and related financial and tariff analyses.
- Develops and sponsors formal testimony and responds to data requests for regulatory proceedings.
- Collaborates with regulatory bodies, auditors, and internal teams to ensure compliance and provide necessary documentation.
- Contributes to strategic planning, special projects, and ensures proper accounting treatment for regulatory approvals.
