Larson Maddox is engaged in a Senior Commercial Counsel seat at a public, global semiconductor company. Austin-based, hybrid 3 days in office.
This is an autonomous senior IC role embedded with the business. You'll lead complex customer-facing deals end-to-end and shape the company's approach to software licensing as the product mix evolves.
The Role
- Lead negotiations on complex commercial agreements - customer sales, supplier contracts, OEM deals
- Drive the strategy around software licensing, including novel licensing models and emerging use cases
- Advise senior business, sales, and engineering leaders on time-sensitive, high-value transactions
The Background
- ~10+ years' experience (in-house, law firm, or a mix); exceptional 5+ YOE candidates considered
- Deep complex commercial / product sales contracting chops
- Software licensing strategy, not just execution, but also able to articulate a real point of view on limit-of-liability, indemnity, and risk allocation
- Maturity to hold your own with executives
- JD, active bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction
