My client is a high-growth technology company based in the Bay Area to hire a Corporate Counsel. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the General Counsel on a lean legal team. The right person will have meaningful ownership and a clear path to grow within the function.
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its expanding legal team. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with business leaders and play a key role in supporting strategic commercial initiatives. As part of a lean and highly effective legal function, you will gain broad exposure across the organization and work on complex, high-impact transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, and partner contracts
- Partner with sales, operations, and cross-functional teams to support commercial transactions
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance while managing risk
- Support negotiations with strategic partners across a global supply chain
- Develop and structure customized agreements independently
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to help drive deals forward
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
- 4+ years of legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house
- Strong background in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Experience working with multinational organizations
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively
