Position Overview: Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy General Counsel to join their legal team. The Deputy General Counsel will play a critical role in providing strategic legal advice and support to the company's executive leadership and operational teams. This position requires a deep understanding of construction and infrastructure law, as well as the ability to manage complex legal matters and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and guidance on a wide range of issues related to construction and infrastructure projects.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed.
- Advise on risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Support the General Counsel in developing and implementing legal policies and procedures.
- Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction and infrastructure law.
- Proven track record in managing complex legal matters and litigation.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior legal staff.
