Assistant General Counsel

My client, a Global Healthcare Manufacturer is experiencing a time of rapid growth and is therefore looking to hire a talented Assistant General Counsel. Reporting into the General Counsel, this individual will support various areas of the business, but with an emphasis on FDA/EPA/FTC regulatory law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical legal guidance to internal teams on a broad range of regulatory and operational matters.
  • Leverage specialized healthcare regulatory law experience, including FDA, EPA, or related frameworks to guide internal stakeholders on compliance considerations.
  • Support business units with diverse day‑to‑day legal needs, including reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to support initiatives and ensure alignment with applicable legal requirements.
  • Monitor and communicate legal and regulatory developments that may impact business operations.
  • Contribute to internal policy development, training, and ongoing compliance efforts.
  • Manage outside counsel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Experience: 6+ years in a highly regulated industry with preference for those subject to the FDA
  • Experience with employment or litigation matters is a plus
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
