Transactional Tax Attorney (Mid & Senior Level)

A nationally recognized business advisory platform with deep expertise in transactional tax matters is seeking multiple experienced professionals to join its Washington, DC office. Openings are available for individuals at the Mid-Level and Senior Associate stages, as well as those operating at the Of Counsel or Shareholder level. These roles offer the chance to serve as key resources on complex corporate transactions, providing high-level tax structuring guidance across a range of industries. Ideal candidates will be technically proficient, commercially minded advisors with a strong background in transactional tax and a passion for solving sophisticated business challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Structure financial transactions to optimize tax outcomes and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Advise on tax aspects of M&A, private equity, financing, capital markets, and reorganizations
  • Draft and negotiate transactional documentation and issue tax opinions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate across disciplines on multifaceted tax matters
  • Mentor junior professionals and contribute to practice development

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transactional tax, with a focus on complex corporate matters
  • Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws
  • Expertise in partnership, corporate, and international tax issues
  • Experience with private equity, cross-border transactions, or real estate tax is a plus
  • LL.M in Tax preferred
  • Licensed to practice in Washington, DC or eligible to waive in
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and client service skills
