Senior Counsel

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and business-oriented Senior Counsel to join their legal team. This role will focus on drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide range of commercial contracts, with a strong emphasis on Procurement and EPC agreements. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience supporting complex infrastructure projects and vendor relationships in a fast-paced, asset-intensive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial agreements, including:
    • Procurement contracts
    • EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) agreements
    • Master service agreements (MSAs)
    • Vendor and supplier contracts
    • Licensing and technology agreements
  • Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders across procurement, operations, engineering, and project management teams.
  • Support contract lifecycle management and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Advise on risk mitigation strategies and dispute resolution related to commercial relationships.
  • Collaborate with external counsel as needed on specialized matters.
  • Stay current on legal developments affecting procurement and construction in the energy and industrial sectors.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on commercial contracts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Procurement and EPC agreements is required.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex contractual relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a business-minded approach to legal problem-solving.
