Senior Structured Finance Counsel
A highly regarded and leading client in the finance legal space, is seeking a mid-to-senior Counsel to join its growing structured finance and private credit team. This is a high-impact role for a candidate with strong lender-side experience, deal leadership capabilities, and an entrepreneurial mindset.This position will offer strong growth, exposure to senior leadership, and a flexible hybrid working structure in New York City.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structured finance, asset-based lending, or private credit/direct lending.
- Must have lender-side experience; candidates with borrower-side backgrounds will not be considered unless already transitioned.
- Demonstrated experience leading transactions and managing deal components independently.
- Strong background in:
- Warehouse lending facilities
- Forward flow transactions
- Whole loan transfers
- Repurchase agreements
- Securitization or securitization-adjacent matters (preferred but not required)
- Excellent client engagement skills and ability to build long-term relationships.
- Proven ability to train and mentor junior associates.
- Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
- Strong academic credentials and prior BigLaw experience are essential.

- Interest or experience in life sciences industry transactions is a plus.

Candidates with experience at AmLaw 100/200 firms, with a highly ranked (tier 1) finance department are highly encouraged to apply.
