Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Education & Licensing
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan
Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in:
- Professional liability
- Medical malpractice
- Products liability
- Additional experience in general liability (e.g., premises liability, trucking, transportation) is a plus
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in:
Core Responsibilities
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Handle complex and high-exposure cases with minimal supervision
- Conduct court appearances and depositions regularly
- Collaborate with attorneys and partners on legal strategy and case development
- Maintain proactive and clear communication with clients, including regular status updates
Skills & Attributes
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to align legal strategy with client goals
- Experience with legal project management is a plus
