Remote Labor & Employment Attorney

A well-established national law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel to join its expanding practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned employment attorney who is passionate about defending employers and managing sophisticated labor and employment matters in a fully remote environment.

The ideal candidate will bring substantial employment litigation experience and a strong ability to advise employers on complex workplace issues. The role offers exposure to a diverse caseload, including employment litigation, EPLI defense, and employment counseling, while working alongside a collaborative and highly respected team.

Remote Labor & Employment Attorney Responsibilities

  • Represent employers in a wide range of labor and employment disputes in both state and federal courts, including claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour issues, and wrongful termination.
  • Manage Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) matters from inception through resolution, serving as a trusted advisor to both insurance carriers and insured clients.
  • Handle administrative proceedings and charges before the EEOC, Department of Labor, and other federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Draft and prepare litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and position statements.
  • Conduct witness interviews, take and defend depositions, and support mediation, arbitration, trial preparation, and case strategy development.
  • Provide practical, business-focused legal guidance to employer clients on workplace and compliance issues.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service, responsiveness, and strategic counsel.

Remote Labor & Employment Attorney Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 6 years of labor and employment law experience.
  • Demonstrated success handling employment litigation in state and federal courts.
  • Experience managing EPLI matters and representing employers in workplace disputes.
  • Knowledge of EEOC proceedings and other employment-related administrative agency matters.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to independently manage litigation matters and client relationships.
  • Prior experience providing day-to-day employment counseling to employers is preferred.
