A top tier Charter School System in New York City is looking to expand their legal department. This schooling system prioritizes rigorous academics for Pre-K-12 students in the Upper Manhattan, The Bronx, and Queens, and they are continuing to expand. This organization services underprivileged kids by giving them a world-class education and loving and caring support - in and out of the classroom. This non-profit is one of the best of its kind.

Working directly with the legal function and other teams within the schooling system will provide you with an enriching career experience while being able to wear many different hats as an in-house attorney.
This position is fully REMOTE.
Responsibilities
- Researching and advising on legal questions
- Drafting and developing policies and procedures
- Managing special projects
- Keeping up to date on educational laws and regulations
- Working with matters including:
- IP
- Real Estate
- Tax
- Litigation
- Employment
- Contracts
Requirements
- JD from accredited law school
- 2+ years of experience actively practicing law
- Ability to work in different areas and adapt quickly
- Strong passion for educational equality
- Appreciation and dedication to nonprofit mission
