Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a diverse caseload of medical malpractice matters from inception through resolution
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and mediations
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on strategy and case development
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and legal guidance
- Handle a significant volume of COVID-related litigation, offering impactful and timely legal support
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in New York
- Minimum of 2 years of defense litigation experience required
- Prior experience in medical malpractice, long-term care, or general liability preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
