We are seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join our Charlotte office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to work on sophisticated employment matters while advising and supporting a diverse client base.
Responsibilities
- Counsel employers on a broad range of labor and employment issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage‑and‑hour, wrongful termination, and compliance matters
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide strategic, practical guidance to management and HR professionals
- Draft and review employment policies, handbooks, agreements, and agency position statements
- Represent clients in administrative proceedings, mediations, and litigation before state and federal agencies and courts
- Collaborate with clients to develop proactive solutions that mitigate risk and support business goals
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice (North Carolina admission or ability to waive in preferred)
- 2+ years of experience practicing labor and employment law (litigation and/or counseling)
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client‑service abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
