Our client is a growth-focused organization at the intersection of the biotech/diagnostic/tech space who is focused on developing innovative solutions for cancer treatment & detection. This role offers plenty of opportunities for professional & personal growth and allows for collaboration with higher leadership.

Their team is looking to add an IP Counsel, who will report directly to the Sr. IP Counsel, and work alongside other members of the IP team and executive leadership. Day-to-day tasks will focus on various IP matters, including patent prosecution, litigation, and strategic IP management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a global patent portfolio and prosecute/review patent applications.
  • Develop and advise on IP strategy.
  • Counsel and educate scientists on patent-related matters.
  • Provide strategic IP counseling for research and product development.
  • Support IP litigation and commercial transactions.

Requirements:

  • J.D. & Registration with the USPTO
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics).
  • 5+ years of patent prosecution experience.
