The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an Employment Counsel to join its Virtual Office. This position is fully remote, allowing attorneys to work from anywhere while handling a steady pipeline of employment litigation matters, administrative charges, and demand letters for a diverse national client base.

This role is ideal for attorneys who enjoy practicing employment law but are seeking greater flexibility, reduced travel, and improved work-life balance. Attorneys can focus on delivering high-quality legal work without the pressure of business development or generating their own book of business.

  • Draft and respond to demand letters and pre-litigation matters.
  • Manage employment litigation matters in federal and state courts.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and case strategy recommendations.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and paralegals on active matters.
  • Advise clients on employment law issues and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain high-quality legal work while managing cases efficiently in a remote environment.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 5+ years of employment law and litigation experience required.
  • Experience handling administrative charges and employment-related disputes.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
  • Excellent communication and client-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior law firm experience.
  • Experience handling matters covered by Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI).
  • Experience managing employment litigation in federal and state courts.
  • California bar admission is a plus.
